OMDEC was founded in 2002 by the Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) and the University of Toronto’s C-MORE (Centre for Maintenance Optimisation and Reliability Engineering).

The flagship product is the EXAKT failure prediction software developed at the University of Toronto under the leadership of Professor Andrew Jardine.

After four years of intense research and development lead by Murray Wiseman B eng and Dr. Daming Lin OMDEC Living RCM (LRCM) was released in 2010. LRCM integrates with EXAKT and existing analytical tools. LRCM is an ‘automated process’ invaluable to maintenance organizations searching to lower costs and achieve measurable reliability improvements from ‘multiple’ sources of data.

The OMDEC Training and Consulting practice provides expertise, knowledge, and the skills in the area of maintenance strategy, procedures, measurement, risk and finance at the executive level thru to the shop floor work order process.
